This Standard sets out the requirements and procedures necessary for machine proof-grading of timber. The proof-grading system and machine proof-grader are specified and the relationship of visual grading and verification of properties using AS 4063 to machine proof-grading are given. Methods and tables allowing estimates of the required proof-stress are included.
