A handbook outlining to operators of oil and gas wells what applications are possible with wireline tools and equipment. Also a guide for field personnel. Surface equipment, service tools (standard and special), and subsurface equipment (both permanent and removable) are described and illustrated. Their various applications are included. Also presented is a general discussion of special problems which wireline operations and procedures may serve to eliminate, minimize, or control, and methods by which this may be accomplished.
